New rhythms out on 7" single are the "Mission" - featuring Mavado's huge "On The Rock".  A great retro-sounding digital rhythm from McPullish (out of Austin, Texas!) called the "Aerophonic", the sweet "Love Line" rhythm on the G String label and some extra cuts from Aaron Silk, Jah Cure and Lutan Fyah on the "Breakfast In Bed" rhythm.  We still have plenty of cuts on the "Rub A Dub" rhythm in stock and also the "Kingdom", if you haven't picked this one up yet.

 

The new album from Richie Spice is finally out on VP - "Gideon Boot" is produced by Bobby Digital and it's a beauty!

 

On the vintage tip, Jamaican Recordings gather up a bunch of obscure Scientist mixes for "Scientist At The Controls Of Dub: Rare Dubs 1979-1980" on CD and LP.

 

On the local front, Wanganui's House Of Shem drop their long-awaited debut album - "Keep Rising" comes highly recommended by the Beat Merchants crew and would be my personal pick for best NZ reggae release of 2008, (so far).  Also check out 1814's debut, "Jah Rydem" which is out now on Ode Records.
