The Jamaican Love compilation definitely brings the romantic to the From Jamaica with Love CD series. It has a steady and mellow pace with catchy melodies and rhythms by essential artists such as Freddie MacGregor, Sizzla, Jah Mason, Sean Paul and Sugar Minott.
Take it Slow by Roger Robin is a fitting and irie opener while Jah Mason lifts the tempo with his distinctive Princess Gone. Sizzla follows up with solid tune - I Need You. Some later tracks provide a taste of classic and simple love longs. Marcia Aitken and J.C.Lodge bring female vocals to two of the 19 tracks. If you're feeling the love, there are a couple of slightly RnB flavoured tunes that may resonate further. Track titles such as Beautiful Lady and Pretty Girl indicate what these songs are about.
